Visiting Kellsey...

Yesterday was the first time I got to go visit Kellsey since Renee left. It was a very rainy drab day and I was anxious to go see her again. The driver was running late because the traffic was pretty bad once he picked me up getting to Vorzel just seemed to take forever. Once we got there orphanage I went inside and I was greeted by the workers and told to wait for Kellsey to be brought to me. Once the brought her she was so funny because she walked in the room and immediately walked over to me and sat next to me it was so cute but she had a look on her face like Ok? what do you have for me today to entertain me. Ha ha She's so stinkin cute! We played for a while and she layed on my lap and let me hold her and hug her, it didn't take long for me to tickle her and it all became a game for her. I had her cracking up the loudest I've heard her laugh yet so we had a great time. Unfortunately our time was cut short because of the medical inspections they are having at the orphanages so needless to say I was disappointed. Before I left Kellsey did something cute and I figure she must have been starving because she had no hesitation to give me a hug and just wave goodbye!!

Things are pretty drab and boring without Renee here but I guess its part of the process of being the parent being left behind to finish out the rest of the process. I thank God that our court date was so quick and she was able to go home so quickly to be home with the kids. we are very blessed and I can't wait to be home with the whole family together for Christmas! For now I just hang out in the apartment and hope time goes by fast. I will be doing some more sight seeing sometime next week I'm sure but for now I just wait until I can go see Kellsey again which I'm hoping will be on saturday.

Heres a few pictures I took of her her poor little face is broken out but I did buy her some medicine will hopefully clear it up...

Clean with a wipe I just don't see the obsession with this! lol

Oh Hey! I've never seen a camera in my face before! Ha Ha

Cheese!!

I hope the time goes fast for you Frank. Love that last picture. Hopefully you'll be able to see her more (and longer times) within the next couple of days.

Such a cutie! What in the world made her face break out like that, I wonder? Oh Frank, I can't imagine being over there alone. :( Try to stay busy!

Oh Frank, I just want to cry! You sound so sad to be there alone! I would be too. William would just sleep the entire time lol so he would'nt notice lol.

This may sound odd, but if you can buy some oatmeal (the real oats, not the ready made packets) and cook it, then drain the water into a jar or something with a lid, you can bring some cotton balls and put that oat water on her face. It will help the eczema.

It looks like an allergic reaction to either food or something else.

But with the oat water, you just put the cotton ball in the water and squeeze out so it isn't all drippy but still wet enough to cover her face and just let it air dry.

Praying for you!

She is so cute. Are there any spots on her hands? If so, it could be impetigo, which I would predict very common in her living conditions. One of those childhood illnesses that teachers learn about in college! Google it to see similar pictures. Bactroban cream might help. If you see any other kids that have the same breaking out...better ask that the nurse or staff treat her. It is contagious.

Thanks for the update, I cant imagine being there alone. Her poor little face, Aden’s face brakes out and would look just like Kellsey’s with no treatment.

Aden’s clears when we are in humidity, hope the USA see’s her face clear. When it’s bad we have to use cortisone cream only 1% as it’s not good for growing bones. Also, Oat baths work a treat.

She sure loves the camera, she'll sure fit in with the other Garcia kids ;o) . She's a little doll baby! I was in VN for 10 days by myself when I picked up Anah, I went alone the whole time. It can get lonely, especially when all you want to do is just bring your daughter home to be with the rest of the family! Praying things finish up smoothly and time passes quickly.

Great update, Frank! Hang in there! You'll have your family all together soon!
This passage is going to be in Ed's sermon on Sunday. Wanted to share it with you. Praying so very hard at this end!

Okay, Daddy! I think her face is broken out from all of the wipes she uses! :D
Impetigo is very contagious and would be all over her body. I thing you should go with Bacitracin or whatever you can find there! It really does look like she's just getting too much moister and it's chaffed. Maybe even good old Vaseline to block out the irritants in her beloved wipes! Precious girl! Wonderful Papa!

Jo think you might be onto something. Aden's broken out after having to change his nappy he has a tummy bug....anyway the wipes have caused a rash and it's slightly different to his eczema looking a bit like dermatis and chaffed .

Just popping in Frank to say Hi, hope your doing well, and the days haven’t been to long. Think of you and Renee with the kids home waiting. You’re a wonderful Dad. An inspiration to many others.

As the parent left behind, I hear you, it did get boring until the paper chase began, then we were all over Kyiv getting what we needed to complete our adoption. I hope the final phase of your adoption goes smoothly. Did you download Skyp? It was a lifesaver for me in Estonia. (we had no internet the entire time we were in Ukraine, save 3 days)
